Please note; prices will increase from
1st April 2026 for all new bookings*.
Entire Reading Room: £12 per hour (£14 per hour from 1st April 2026)
(includes main hall, Hampden meeting room and use of kitchen for drinks preparation)
Main Hall only: £10 per hour (£11 per hour from 1st April 2026)
Hampden Room only: £10 per hour (£11 per hour from 1st April 2026)
Kitchen for food preparation: additional £12 per booking
* Unfortunately, due to rising running and maintenance costs, we have found it necessary to finally increase our prices in April. However we hope you believe that the Reading Room still represents exceptional value.
Reading Room Main Hall - Dimensions 13.4m x 5.5m, pendant lights 2.6m above the floor
Maximum occupancy 70 people. Facilities: folding/stacking chairs, folding tables, projector and screen
Reading Room Hampden Room - Dimensions 5.3m x 2.3m. Facilities: boardroom style table and chairs.
Reading Room Kitchen
Facilities: kettle, water boiler, 2 x ovens, refrigerator, 4 ring hob, microwave, cutlery and crockery
